The founding ceremony of Dazhou City Party Conduct and Clean Government Research Center

  On March 13, the founding ceremony of Dazhou City Party Conduct and Clean Government Research Center was held in Sichuan University of Arts and Science. Wang Chengduan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Sichuan University of Arts and Science, as well as Yuan Hong, Member of the Standing Committee of Dazhou Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of Dazhou Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Director of Dazhou Municipal Commission of Supervision, unveiled the plaque for Dazhou City Party Conduct and Clean Government Research Center. Hou Zhongming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Sichuan University of Arts and Science as well as Zhang Chao, the head of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection in Sichuan University of Arts and Science and the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Sichuan University of Arts and Science, presided over the ceremony.

Hou Zhongming said in his speech that the Dazhou Institute for Party Discipline Inspection and Supervision works with Sichuan University of Arts and Science to jointly built Dazhou City Party Conduct and Clean Government Research Center, which helps Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision as well as School Party Committee understand the decisive meaning of “Two Affirmations” (the affirmation to Xijinping’s core position in whole party and the affirmation to Xijinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era). It is also the conscious action and major measure to strengthen the “Four Awareness” (consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment), adhere to “Four Confidence” (confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics), achieve the “Two Upholds” (resolutely uphold General Secretary Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and resolutely uphold the Party Central Committee’s authority and its centralized, unified leadership). Moreover, this action would constantly promote the realization of responsible and honest cadres, honest and upright government, clear and bright politics, as well as peaceful society. The school will work with the Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervision Commission of Dazhou to strengthen guidance, investment and management to Dazhou Party Conduct and Incorruption Research Center, and jointly promote its stable and far-reaching construction.

Yuan Hong said that the establishment of Dazhou City Party Conduct and Clean Government Research Center is not only a practical measure to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the university and the local government, but also a high-level platform for the theoretical research on Party conduct and clean government in the city. And this action fully reflects the political consciousness and responsibility of both the university and the local government to implement the requirements of the Party's 20 National Congress on building a team of high-quality professional discipline inspection and supervision cadres. After its establishment, the center must base itself on Dazhou and look to the whole country, give full play to the four functions--theoretical think tank, academic research, curriculum training and cadre training. And it should constantly provide intellectual support for the discipline inspection cause of Dazhou, and realize the "high yield" of theoretical research results, the "high output" of professional cadres, and the "highlight" of the province's status and national influence.

Yuan Hong also hopes that the municipal discipline inspection and supervision organization and Dazhou Discipline Inspection and Supervision Association should carry out sincere cooperation with Sichuan University of Arts and Sciences. The relevant officials should regard the Dazhou City Party Conduct and Clean Government Research Center as the platform, give full play to the advantages of combining "theory and practice", strive to achieve first-class performance, produce a batch of high-quality research results, boost the quality development of the municipal discipline inspection and supervision work, and strive to build "one district, one hub and one center". These actions would provide a strong guarantee to the all-round construction of socialist modernization.

At the ceremony, the agreement on co-building Dazhou City Party Conduct and Clean Government Research Center was also signed, and the document identifying the center as the key research base of philosophy and social sciences in Dazhou was read out by Dazhou Institute for Discipline Inspection and Supervision and the Sichuan University of Arts and Science.
